Moving on after an affair it's definitely
not easy. The pain, the confusion, all the questions run
on your mind. It's not the most beautiful period of your
life. But to be able to move on and start a new stage in
your life you have to be able to decrease the pain, to
ignore it for the first weeks and to let it past with
time. You have to want to move on and stop feeling bad
and hurt by your partner.
On this article I want to give you few
little and personal advices how to let the pain go and
move on after an being cheated!
1. You need to make a decision about
your current relationship. Do you want to stay in and
try to make things work? Are you ready to work hard to
fix things between you, restore the trust and love?
2. Try to understand the cheating
side – people never cheat just like that and it's not so
simple. Cheating partner is a lot of times feels
rejected, no loved and needs attention and affect. It's
very important to understand!
3. Don't stop your feelings. If you
are hurt, let your spouse know that. You have the right
for being hurt and ruined right now and there is no
reason to hide it.
4. Make a plan, decide how you are
willing to work things out, how much time it's going to
take, when you will be able to trust your partner again.
Talk to your lover – he/she has a side in the plan to
and the success is up to both of you!
5. Be patient – it takes time to
heal after physical injury and it will take even more
time to heal from emotional one. Don't rush, time is
very good cure but don't waste it. If you will not try
to work on your relationship even 5 years won't be
enough!
6. Leave place for forgiveness – you
have to know how to forgive if you want to move on and
forget about it.
7. It's not only your partner's
fault – that is something that you need to know. Don't
blame your spouse - you have a part at it too. Maybe
there wasn't enough sex, desire and love in the
relationship?
These are no professional advices but I
know it helps from my personal experience and I am sure
it will help you!
